PharmNet Rx - Pharmacy Discount Cards

INTRODUCTION

We understand the importance of your privacy and respect the confidential nature of your personal and health information. For that reason, we have made every effort to ensure that your use of PharmNet Rx's online pharmacy shopping service is secure and private. Any personally identifiable information that you share with use will be kept strictly confidential between you, us, and the participating pharmacist of your choice. The following material will help you understand what kind of information we collect from you, how it is used, how it is protected, and what choices you have with regard to your personal information. Please check this Privacy Policy often, as it may be updated without notice. Click here to see our Pharmacy Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP).

INFORMATION COLLECTED

The kind of information we collect about you depends greatly on how you choose to use our site. You may choose to browse our site, reviewing the available products, without submitting any personal information at all. However, in order to take advantage of our online ordering services, you will need to fill out our membership registration, which asks for certain personally-identifiable information. In particular, we will ask for your name, home and delivery addresses, date of birth, gender, and e-mail address. You will also have the option of including your phone number, and letting us know how you came upon our site. When you register you will be given the option of receiving recurring e-mails, newsletters and health and wellness information about new products, site features and special offers, and/or about new health and wellness features from PharmNet Rx and/or third parties. You may choose not to receive these e-mails at the time you register, or by modifying your account. All this information makes up your "Personal Profile," which will be associated with the user ID and password you choose.

In order to provide quality pharmaceutical care, we need to collect information related to your medical history, your prescribing physician, or the type of drug you're ordering. In addition to the information you choose to share with us, our system is set up to gather certain technical data to help us understand better how our site is being used and how we can improve it. This automatically gathered information is not personally identifying; it includes your computer's IP or "Internet Protocol" address, statistics about how visitors navigate through our site, and information provided through the use of cookies (which are described in more detail below).

Finally, as you visit our site, please be aware that third parties may at times be able to gather information from you. For example, companies that place ads on our site may use their own cookies, and companies offering information or services jointly with PharmNet Rx may collect the information you submit on co-branded pages. In these cases, the third parties would use your information according to their own policies. See "Your Options" below for more information about what you can do to limit third party access to your information.

USE OF INFORMATION

We feel it is important for you to know how your information will be used before you decide what to disclose. Below, we describe how each category of information is used and with whom it might be shared. We will not use your information for purposes other than these unless you give us your permission or we are legally compelled to do so, such as by a subpoena or court order.

Cookies: Cookies are small files that we send to and store on your computer so that we may recognize it as a unique machine the next time you visit our site. Our cookies are used to keep track of your information for your own convenience. Cookies also help us understand the size of our audience and their traffic patterns within our site. We may share this kind of information, in aggregated, non-personal form, to our advertisers and other third parties. Some of our advertisers may also use their own cookies.

Registration Information: Our website enables you to place orders online. Because of this, PharmNet Rx will need to know whom to deliver the products to and how to contact you if there are any problems with your order. PharmNet Rx will also notify you by e-mail or phone once your order has been processed. Please rest assured that all of PharmNet Rx's pharmacists are fully licensed in the states where they do business, which means that they understand and abide by the legal and ethical requirements of the pharmacy practice, including its principles of confidentiality. You will not receive unsolicited e-mail from any third parties as a result of your membership on this site. Of course, we cannot prevent mailings from third parties who might gather your e-mail address on web sites outside of our control (see "Scope of this Privacy Policy" below).

As we strive to offer you improved service, we may in the future use your e-mail address to communicate with you about your account or to send you offers tailored to your needs and interests. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of these mailings. We may also use some registration information, such as your zip code, to help us analyze our customer demographics. All uniquely identifying information (like your name or e-mail address) will be separated from such data before it is used in this way.

Online Purchases and Prescription Refills: We understand that your choice of products to purchase, especially in the area of pharmaceuticals, can be very personal, and may even be subject to patient-pharmacist confidentiality. In order to fulfill your order, we must share this information (along with your name and contact information) with our pharmacists and pharmacy staff. Your pharmacist will use your order information, including any prescription number and patient's name, only as necessary to refill your prescription legally, accurately, and according to your health insurance requirements. We will never disclose the specifics of your order to any other person or company in a way that could identify you personally. We may, however, use information about your product order-stripped of any reference to you personally-to help us understand our customer's preferences in general.

YOUR OPTIONS

Reading this Privacy Policy should help you understand how any information you share with us might be used. If you feel concerned about any of these uses, you might elect not to participate in some of the services that we offer. We will never collect personally identifying information about you without your knowledge, so the decision whether or not to share this information is completely up to you.

If you feel concerned about the cookies that are sent between our computers and yours, you may either choose to reject them automatically, or have your computer prompt you before accepting them. This is done by selecting the appropriate cookies setting on your web browser, usually found in "Internet Options" or "Preferences." Please note, however, that some of our service's features depend on the use of cookies. Therefore, you will be unable to take advantage of those features if you choose not to accept cookies.

Our site also gives you the ability to view and edit your Personal Profile at any time. Simply follow the link called "My Account" at the top of our home page, and you can choose to change the option of receiving recurring e-mails, newsletters and health and wellness information, as well as update or correct your name, contact and delivery information, and password. In addition, you may review a history of your online prescription orders.

SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy only applies to PharmNet Rx's web site, not to any external links because many of our pages contain links to sites outside our control. Please be aware that these sites may collect information about you, and that they operate according to their own privacy practices. In addition, we offer some of our services jointly with third parties other than our participating pharmacists. In these situations, the third party might collect and use your information pursuant to its own policies. You can tell when a service is offered jointly with a third party, because that page of our website will be "co-branded," displaying the third party's logo or name along with our own. If you are concerned about how your personal information might be used or protected by a third party in a co-branded service, we encourage you to become familiar with that company's privacy policy before using the service. And remember that once you're outside the PharmNet Rxweb site, any information you submit is outside of our control.

INFORMATION SECURITY

In order to maintain the integrity and security of your personal information (including your purchase choices), we will only ask for or transmit this information over secure Internet connections, using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption-the recognized standard for online security. Additionally, the server that processes this information is password-protected and separated from the Internet by a "firewall," intended to prevent unauthorized access.

Of course, we appreciate your help in safeguarding the integrity of your own privacy. Please keep your member ID and password confidential and safe from discovery by others, and close your browser after using our site, to ensure that later users of your computer cannot return to pages displaying your personal information. Just as importantly, we encourage you to let us know immediately if you suspect that the information you share with us is being used in any way contrary to this Privacy Policy.
